anybody see that movie? wanna weigh in on it as a retelling of little red ridinghood?

i haven't seen it yet myself, but i'm teaching a class i might want to use it for, assuming it's not complete trash.

(obvs i'll watch it for myself, but just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the matter.)

I saw it and liked it. The young actress does a good job......

I suggest you watch it before presenting it to a class. It's not easy to watch, and there's nudity, etc......not sure what your class audience is......

there was this new spanish teacher at my high school, who found a movie of some lorca story and decided to show it to her class without having watched it, only it was just porn with the same title, and when the first sex scene came on, she thought it wouldn't last, so she just hit fast-forward, and then there's a class of teenagers watching people do it doggie-style really FAST... and, well, word got out.

so, yeah, i won't be repeating that mistake

it's college students, so i think they can handle a little nudity. they would most likely not watch it during class time, either, so there's no me watching them watch nudity....

anyway, since you don't say it's awful, i'll check it out. thanks.

I had a Spanish teacher put on Y Tu Mama Tambien and then just sit there when we watched.

a) I liked that movie a lot, but I don't want to watch sex scenes with a classroom full of people. It made a lot of people uncomfortable
b) I can watch that movie at home in Spanish by myself . I walked out and called the teacher into the hall and told him so...that there was no value to the class as he wasn't discussing the language or anything cultural, etc.

I did like it....it wasn't great, but it was interesting, and the actress is quite compelling.....

The sex scenes that I remember are a bit long and I think there's some full-frontal nudity....plus bondage, torture and some other stuff....that's why I definitely suggest a pre-screening.

When I saw Hard Candy at the Angelika, an angry family walked out in the middle of it. I'm not sure what ticked them off...the guy getting his balls cut off or the dead girl.
