Franny's - Bruni review

Subject: Franny's - Bruni review

Eater is predicting two star review from Bruni. Seriously? I've been to Franny's, and I've found it to be decent...but far from worth of "two Bruni stars".

Seriously??

Comments

  • Not familiar - is two Bruni Stars good or bad?
  • From what I understand, it's excellent. Getting one star from Bruni (NY Times, by the way), can have a dramatic impact on business.
  • You know what tastes good? Crow. Mmmm, crow.

So, Eater is predicting ONE star...not two.

    #-o  :-'
  • And Bruni 2-starred Franny's today!
  • Subject: Post about Franny'

Have been removed because i posted info about them portraying them in a negative light, but then again if you read the post above this one the disclaimer states that they are not responsible for any of the statements or negative reviews that people write. so is freedom of speech dead on Brooklynian????I understand that they have the right to remove people or posts since they are paying for the domain, but it seems excessive from their part when people are being honest!!!
  • I hadn't seen the post you're talking about, but from looking back at some of your older posts I'm going to guess it had about 20 exclamation marks in it.

But in light of yesterday's glowing NYT write-up, I would like to take this opportunity to say that Franny's gets all the hype but Amorina has much better pizza.
  • i love exclamation!!!!!!!
    HAHAHHAH!!!!!
Franny's big PR company pushed Bruni to review them!!!!
  • THE RULES wrote: * If your post gets deleted, it's not a First Amendment issue. It's probably an issue about you being a jerk.
there is no pro-franny's conspiracy on this board.

you do, however, seem to hate EVERY local food/coffee/ice cream place, so if i weren't wildly in love with amorina, i don't think your comments would put me off going to franny's.

i'm merging this into the other discussion of franny's.
  • Amorina(O) its pizza people what is the big deal?????
  • Bruni over rated reviewer!!!! NY times does have an influence and like i said before BIG PR Company behing Franny's so smells very fishy to me.
  • Mod note:

kaki, ENOUGH. you are repeating yourself constantly and it's boring. you're ignoring our PMs (even though you answer them as though you comprehend them). we hear you: you don't like franny's, you don't like bruni, you don't like anything in this nabe except hot waiters and bartenders as far as I can tell. enough.
  • hahahahahah, have not seen any hot waiters or bartenders on Vandy except Robert an Noo nA!!!! Love noona cheap compared to the place on 7th, Robert is great and so is Steve, so CUTE!!!!!!!
  • For the record, I like Franny's. I just don't think a two star review from Bruni is justified.

However, I was pleased to hear they now have pasta...so I'll have to go back and give that a shot. Bruni seemed to like it.
  • two star review is totally incredibly awesome for them - as is their food!!!!- sucks though cuz we'll never get in anymore - the best pizza in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!:):):) - if you dont think so you dont know what good pizza is!!!
  • Franny's is my favorite everyday kind of place in the neighborhood, and second overall to Garden Cafe. Try the small plates, which are way more interesting than the pizza. I usually like going with a few people, sharing a pizza or two and getting a whole bunch of the small plates. And the green market gin and tonic.
  • I really like Franny's AND Amorina. My only gripe with Franny's is all the friggin' wine is so expensive, I only go there when I know I don't want any. Which sux. Can't they have a couple of cheap wine choices for us non–financial analysts? Oh, and also, the weird "cannoli" is not good. Amorina, I have absolutely no complaints about. So good and well-priced.
