-
huh. I'll see if I run into a distro on my way to the subway in .... 38 minutes (yes, i'm counting down) and take a look.
-
yay can't wait to see what it says hehe. hurry
up with the print version. -
It's up online now: http://www.villagevoice.com/nyclife/0735,telpha,77650,15.html
But really.... Soda? Sounds like the Voice had kept the writer cloistered in a convent for about eight months beforehand. -
As I was reading this, I kept waiting for the author to do one of the following:
1) say she was being sarcastic and/or kidding;
2) mention that she was being paid to review the bar;
3) reveal that by "Soda" she really meant some other bar somewhere else.
This was SO over the top. -
4) Admit she DID go home with the bartender that night?
-
Hey, but on the upside that makes us the "beautiful people"

Who knew? -
indiscretion is what makes a bartender a legend the most

I clicked the links at the bottom for some of her other articles and they all seem to be written equally as painfully. I think she's either a) someone's overzealous intern b) a Sylvester in training full of shit (wouldn't be the first time at the Voice!) c) some 60-year old trying to be hip and giving the cute writing thing a whirl.

noona lounge and beast had a few people. but I was too tired to really stay anywhere past 1 a.m.
last night - who knew that so many people (including many straights) go to cattyshack? that place was insanely packed. -
Union Hall was pretty packed too, the basement was Jamming..
-
Beautiful?
Maybe the dumbest.
I dont think I've ever been there when they haven't messed up something.
Bad, rude bartenders that cant get the orders right. They've left food sitting at the bar for up to 10 minutes after it came out of the kitchen before it gets sent to the customer. I've stopped going and you should too.
Dumb people work here and dumber people continue to hang out at this crap hole.
Howdy, Stranger!
