Rent for One bedroom?

"Hey, I can only afford $1,400 a month. Could you do that? I could sign a two year lease." Mixed response. I've got a hundred bucks a month off before, saved $1,200 over the year. I've also had guys tell me that the price is the price, and that if I don't pay it, someone else will. So if you are willing to pay the full price, then don't say something like, "I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT afford the full price," because you may be eating crow. Unless you like crow. In which case, go for it. The way I figure it, about a rent reduction, is that the worst they can do is to tell you NO. Just don't be a dick about it, because if you end up renting then the guy will always have a bad taste for you. Ask nicely.
