Lost house keys in cab. change locks?
so i forgot my house keys in a cab over the weekend and was t drunk to call them back that night so spent the night at a friends house and then called the cab company the next day. i did get my keys back but my question is.... would you change your locks if you left your house keys in a cab for 24 hours?

was any indication of your address with the keys?

no indication of my address but the cab driver could always look my address up from the base. maybe i'm just being paranoid?

If you are running all the possible could I get robbed" scenarios through your mind then have the locks changed. Most of the time it isn't a question of "changing the locks" exactly but just re-keying the cylinder and it will cost some money but nothing extraordinary. Peace of mind is worth a lotP.S. This is your mother. Didn't I raise you better than to get so drunk that you forget your keys in the cab? At least you remembered lesson #6 .. don't walk home falling down drunk cause you will get mugged.

veets: thanks for making me laugh. believe me... the guilt i put on myself the next day didn't even compare to a mom lecture. honestly, getting robbed is the least of my worries. i was more worried about someone coming in the middle of the night, while i was there. i think i had decided not to change the locks but need a sanity check.

Re-key the locks for sure! And, pin an extra house key to your underwear so next time you get drunk and lose your keys you'll still have the house key in your drawers.

ok, i'll re-key the locks. any suggestions on locksmiths in the area?
