The whole precinct out last night? — Brooklynian

The whole precinct out last night?

Any idea what went down? There were about nine police cars (marked, unmarked and vans) that converged on the corner of Nostrand and Park about 1:30am. They blocked traffic on Park between Nostrand and Rodgers for about a half hour and an ambulance showed up, but didn't see anyone getting arrested and the blocks seemed relatively quiet.

  • Saturday eve was coming out o store on Kingston, Park & Sterling. Say a dude running by holding his pants up. After watching him hit the corner on Sterling towards Albany, I turned my head to see a DT running behind him.
Next up is a younger DT in a unmarked going up the wrong way on Kingston, he turns the corner up Sterling. A friend happened to be turning the corner on Sterling and Albany to see the dude run in the corner building. He watched the cop hesitate to get out, opened the car door, then fall out to the ground.
I don't know what happened, but rumor on the street has many tales from the cop got shot in the Park, he broke his finger, he had a heart attack. I cant call it.
However, there was been a massive police presence around the Park the next day with cars posted at each corner, all day and patrol cars all over.
Last night maybe 11 or so, there were about 15 patrol cars posted up on Park and Kingston for a while from different Pcts, then they all broke out.
    So whats really going on?
  • There was a police presence earlier too... I saw 2 officers out of their cars on both sides of the park (Kingston and Brooklyn Ave) and an additional patrol car sitting off Prospect Saturday evening (between 6-7pm). It was quiet then at the park
  • Looks like the Cops were chasing a guy with a gun, one cop struggled with the perpetrator and in the process broke his finger. The perpetrator was last seen running into that building.
