Harry the Potters - Saturday, 3 p.m. - at the Library!
I have no good sense, so Harry & the Potters, one of the many wizarding rock bands, makes me really happy. I know several of you share my total lack of good sense, so, come to the Library (Main Branch at GAP) on Saturday at 3 p.m. to catch a totally cheesy, Harry Potter focused concert!
I've seen these guys live a few too many times (once along with Draco & the Malfoys - not as funny) and they attract a really hilarious bunch of folks.
anyway, I'll be there and hope to see many of you there, too. haven't decided which t-shirt I'll be wearing: 'voldemort can't stop the rock' or 'this guitar is a horcrux'.

That is awesome!
-
definitely go with "this guitar is a horcrux"
-
I'm going with a gang of 13 yr olds. That's how I roll.
It's going to be awesome. -
for those who don't know about this stuff, here's their webpage:

and this is where you can buy their albums:

the t-shirts I described totally do exist and will probably be on sale at the concert.
oh, and the concert is free.

i am CRUSHED that i will miss this. i have to be at a cat rescue volunteer meeting (classic; astounding level of dorkusness).
BTW, at one place on the library website it says 2 PM, another place it says 3:30 PM, and the H & the P website says 2:30 PM. -

there's an opening band, and I'm guessing it's 'doors' at 2, opening band at 2:30, and H&tP at 3 or 3:30. their opening bands tend to suck balls so I'm not sure I'll get there at 2:30, but maybe.

sad you'll be missing this! they rule!

I bought 3 t-shirts! I rock!

I went to this show and I have to say (with apologies to alafarnadia and Emily) this was the worst band I have ever seen perform in front of other people in my life.
Terrible.
Seriously. -

you have no taste at all. I've seen your itunes collection - I speak from a knowledgeable place. your wife had fun!
Terrible.
Seriously.
also, the set was kinda not up to par b/c the electricity kept cutting out on either the guitar or the keyboard or both. and I could not assist with my trusty wand - everyone knows electricity and magic just don't mix. -

yay! did you have fun? (just ignore Carnivore - he's a party pooper)
I didn't wear any of my shirts - couldn't find them. instead I wore my snarry_sectus t-shirt and had my trust wand with me. who knew the makeup brush holster on my MAC brand mini-messenger bag would be such an awesome wand holster? -

Absolutely, but my kids refused to stand next to me. Was it the Ginny Weasely t-shirt, do you reckon? -

lol. maybe. Carnivore wouldn't even stand with us - he was sitting in the back. he probably would have had more fun jumping up and down.yay! did you have fun? (just ignore Carnivore - he's a party pooper)

Probably not a good idea - a) I'm assuming that the really big fans were in front, jumpin' around ecstatically with you 2) I'm assuming that the bigger the fans, the increased likelihood that someone would have a replica of Gryffindor's sword 3) I'm assuming that Carny would be temped to throw himself on said sword, if it was as bad as he indicates. -
there were approximately 5 guys in the jumping up and down area. mr. Emily came and joined us for a bit and was the tallest person in the audience. hilarious! single men between 15 and 25 missed out on a big chance to hit on a captive chick audience.

wow that is really funny

I had to read it again to start my morning
