Apple Store coming to Brooklyn...

  • I would rather a bank or a realty office, myself.
  • An Apple store would get 1,000 times more use from me than another bank, real estate office or cell phone store - which is why I won't see an Apple store here. Alas. :)
  • I wonder if there's a place in the slope with the size and chemistry. I think Atlantic Avenue's a better fit, myself. Back to back with the Trader Joes.
  • yeah, i haven't thought of too many appropriate places in park slope either.

i think the ground floor of one hanson place would be ideal, even perhaps the ground floor of the new meier building at grand army plaza. not too much foot traffic there, though.

otherwise, perhaps down on 3rd somewhere near the new whole foods but i'd think that would be a little risky.

there's that old d/agostino space across from methodist hospital, but i think i heard that was going to be doctors offices or a bank.

anywhere near the american apparel up on flatbush?
  • Flatbush spaces seem pretty plebian to me for a shiny happy Apple store.

I read once Apple planned to lease a space place near Herald Square, but later nixed the idea because the area is too "downmarket."
  • Ir would have to be part of RatnerWorld - downtown, all new and hip, etc.
