I need to get my 98 BMW serviced, and I really don't want to take it to the dealer, b/c it's inconvenient. any recommendations for a shop in the PS area that could handle and won't totally rip me off?
thx!

  • There's a garage on 4th avenue by Carroll Street, it's painted blue. It's run by greeks.
They are very good, and reasonable. Maybe try them.
  • Subject: car repair

there's a tiny place called Mitch Auto on 39th street just off Fort Hamilton Parkway - recommended on Car Talk on NPR.
I have found him to be really excellent. His name is Mitch and his
    phone number is 718 854-8074

  • Lorenzutti Motors on Douglass between 3rd & 4th avenues. Roberto is the best! I've used him for years. He's very honest. The shop is the cleanest I've ever seen. He's a real character once you get to know him and his crew.

He was a race car driver and now an avid bike rider. He knows cars. He can listen to them and know what's wrong.
