What IS that animal? — Brooklynian

What IS that animal?

I'm always hearing this weird "mwaw mwaw mwaw mwaw" animal sound in my neighborhood. At first I thought it was a cat in heat, but it's been going on for weeks now. Could it be that someone in CH has a goat, or sheep or something?

Has anyone else heard this creature?

Where are you hearing the sound?
  • OK, never mind.

I finally saw the creature, and it's just cat (I was hoping for something more exotic). It's a lone black and white cat who meows REALLY loudly. He wandered into the backyard of my building this afternoon.
  • LOL. Maybe he's just lonely and needs a friend.
  • I haven't seen or heard him for days now. Maybe someone took him in (i hope).

In my old place, around the corner from where I live now, there was a "pack" of wild cats who would party late at night and meow loudly. It was really obvious when one of them was in heat, because it would screech a lot. I guess they're nocturnal, because this would only happen at night.

This cat, though, was alone, and it seems like he was meowing because he was abandoned. He was wandering around my block, and meowing during the daytime and night. Poor thing. If he comes back, I'll try to catch him.
  • i didn't look at it too carefully, but i did see a sign about a b&w cat on sunday on the north west corner of franklin & park place

my memory says it was a cat that was found in which case it could be the same one

but i will check when i go home to make sure it didn't say "lost"

Oh thanks, I'd like to know :)
  • the sign was for a cat that had been found
the photo shows a black face with a white striped nose
she was found 9/26 on park place between washington & classon

this seems as it might predate your "strange creature"
