MN Twins fans in PH?
With the Twins most likely playing the Yankmees in the first round of the playoffs, I'm wondering if there are any other Twins fans here in the hood?
Last night I stepped out to the corner store, wearing a Twins hat, and passed by a couple that commented on my hat. However, I didn't realize what they said until after I had passed them, so the whole encounter was awkward...and I probably came across as rude. If that was you, sorry about that.
Anyway - first game is Tuesday night.

Little word of advice - the block down from you is 100% Yankee fans so if you pass my house and my husband sees you with your Twin hat, he will rag you (of course in a friendly way)

I'm a Mets fan, but I'm always had a soft spot for the twins. Specifically the Twins of the late 80s and early 90s. Also, a girl I dated for a while worked with Steve Lombardozzi. Plus I briefly played in a band called Hrbek. Those are all my Twins connections.

I'm a Twins fan when they play the Yankees. Plus I always liked that their outfield wall is a Hefty bag.

It'll be my Tigers playing the Yanks, thanks to Detroit's pathetic showing today, capping off a 5 game losing streak. Congrats to Minnesota for winning baseball's toughest division by playing great baseball over the past couple of months. May we still meet in the ALCS to avenge 1987!
Does anybody know if there are any anti-Yankee bars in PH? I suspect I should stay away from Tavern on Dean, the place that's most convenient to me. -
I'm from Michigan and really bummed about the Tigers fall from grace. Fortunately I also had the forsight to go to the Univ. of Mich. which (so far) is having a great football season. Seems they actually just beat Minnesota in football. Funny how that worked out, huh!

I have school that night otherwise I'd watch the game. I firmly believe in sticking by your hometown team, even if you're not there anymore, and lord almightly have they been sucking it up over the past few years. Good to see Minnesotans in the area and fingers crossed they win (not holding my breath but miracles occasionally do happen).

Minneapolitan right here! And I'm a Twin too, how bout that!?! To be honest, I'm not a big baseball fan. But I definitely root for the Twins, and it's great fun watching my old home team play the monsters of my adopted home. Are there any bars nearby that play the games? Tavern On Dean? I'm definitely down to catch a game or two.

Well, Twins first round is against the A's, not the Yankees, but hopefully we'll get to see that match-up for the AL championship.
200 5th in the Slope will have the games on several TVs. -
If somebody posts game times, I'll try to come. I'd love to rally with you loon-staters. I don't actually follow the Twins much, but I can claim a little shred of cred for having been featured on Metrodome's Jumbotron while on a date.

... and it begins. Best of luck, Twins fans.
