truck/car accident at atlantic/washington at 6:45AM

this morning, there seemed to be a fairly large and serious accident involving some type of dumptruck and a passenger car at the NW corner of atlantic and washington. i think the dumptruck hit the car with such force that it crushed the car and i think a passenger was still inside it.

the car had also been pushed into the used car lot with such force that the first 5 cars in the lot had been shifted over.

there were tons of EMT trucks, firefighters, cops, photographers and gawkers.

can someone update throughout the day what they know?

I passed it at about 7:45 am. I saw one of those massive pick-up trucks that tow buses and other trucks, so I think you're right that a large vehicle was involved in the accident. I didnt look for much else as I was trying to navigat through the traffic and get to work.

I was by the school crossing guard that the dump truck overturned on the car and two people died.

Yes, sad. Two people died. Went past at about 8:00. They had taken the truck off the car. The car was only about 2 feet tall in the front sections.
