I live in Bed-stuy, near Tompkins and Putnam. I am looking for a car service to take me to LaGuardia. My flight leaves at 7 a.m., so I figure a car service is probably the easiest way of getting to the airport, if it doesn't break the bank. Does anyone have any suggestions of car services they have used and whether they know general costs? Thanks as always.

    I don't live too far from you and I use the New Bell Car Service. They always have cars available when I need them (I often use them in the pre-dawn hours). I've never taken them to LaGuardia, though. Here's the number if you're interested: 718.230.4499 or 718.789.8888. Call them for pricing.

    I didn't have a good experience with the Myrtle Car Service. I called them twice and no one picked up the phone.

    i've been using apple (718-363-9000) to get from bedford/greene to LGA for the 6AM shuttle every monday morning. they haven't let me down. $30 + tip.

    i've used myrtle for years but they have become increasingly unreliable, and imo a little sketchy (sending cars without placards or tlc plates, etc). i recently started using new bell. so far, so good. i've also had good experiences with evelyn, arecibo, cobble hill, and eastern. i sometimes call cars from other neighborhoods to compare prices to the airport. it shouldn't cost you more than $25 to 30 to laguardia. also, i would suggest calling the night before for a car that early in the morning.
