are there any mac places here in the slope to get supplies? i've heard there's one in bburg, but i didn't post on that board because nobody ever reads that board.

ideas? my battery is running low, the power cord is dead, and i don't feel like going to tekserv. so i will close the machine and come back to see if anyone has answers. GAH.

I need a new power cord too.... mine is taped together at the part where they always break. Maybe I'll see you there today.
  • not the slope, but also closer than soho is j&r by city hall.

  • welcome back to the world of the wired.
  • for what it's worth, if it's an imac or a tower any old generic computer power cord will do...i don't know if there is a better term for the basic 3 prong cable I'm thinking of but radio shack has em.

It's typically referred to as an IEC cord; specifically, they're IEC cords with a C13 or C15 plug (identical appearance, different temperature ratings).
