  • I've been meeting and seeing a lot of Williamsburg emigrants on the Vandy strip
  • Interesting article.

But if anyone in Manhattan thinks I own here next the the museum, botanical gardens, library, Grand Army Plaza , market and PROSPECT PARK because I think I might run in to Heath Ledger, they are sadly mistaken. I like the quality of life and diversity here - and the trees!

Manhattan is better than every other city in the country in terms of size, variety, restaurants and shops - there is no comparison. I am always curious when people from Manhattan start bashing Brooklyn with back-handed remarks. Why would you bother since Manhattan is so great?

I live here for he quality of life and I still love Manhattan. It's 3 stops away on the Q train. It's not that big a deal for me since I can be downtown faster from here than I could be from Harlem. The next piece of property I own will likely be in Brooklyn because I actually love living here.

Yes, and according to today's New York Times, you'd have to go a lot farther to run into Heath Ledger:

  • Two (?) years ago I did see Heath jogging past the fountain at GAP on a Sat. morning on my way to the farmers' market. I said to my husband, "Is that Heath Ledger?" I guess he heard as he smiled and nodded (I saw this as I was twisting my neck ackwardly around with mouth open). No shirt, very hot. RIP.
