A few months ago the Prospect Gaffler was photo'd and posted on this site by bounty.
I pledge $10 bounty for a photo posted to this site of said push-in trespasser. If Alice says the photo is the guy, its yours. -

Is there an extra bonus if he's masturbating?

Ew.
There is most decidedly no extra bonus (for anyone but, perhaps, him) if he's masturbating.
Although maybe it would get him a summons.
Again, Ew. -
My sentiments exactly. If someone gets a photo, we should be able to post it.

With a little Photoshop for an MTV-style "fuzz-out", you'd still be able to post it. -

That probably is not possible becaus I don't think crackheads jerk off, they just smoke more rocks. -
this is all pretty scary. I've been reading about both the muggings and the push-ins and, well, it's scary. I just bought my apartment (I'd lived in it for 1.5 yrs before, harlem for previous 3 years) and I don't like the idea of sketchy-ass-dudes getting bounced by the cops. knocked on wood just now, though, because I haven't had any issues yet (with frighteningly aggressive guys) in this hood except at ripple.
-
Ripple...ugh. I hear you.
-
Would you guys like to elaborate? IS there a bad element hanging at Ripple? I've only heard good things about it, mostly here.
-
I live across the street from it. It's loud and sports a lot of obnoxious drunk people especially once it starts closing down. The noise is ridiculous. Also (and this is not the bar's fault, really), the music attracts a lot of seriously fucked up people that hang outside, most times just a store or two down, because I'm guessing the management dissuades them from loitering out front, I assume because they're too broke or hammered to get in. It turns into this drama bullshit almost every night once people get pasted enough. I once saw a brawl amongst that bunch that involved about 10 people with a chair, baseball bat and several bottles being smashed. Right in the middle of Washington. Stopped traffic. It was pathetic.

there's some guy in the 'hood who hit on me once at ripple (I see him all over the place -- middle aged black male with camo pants -- goes by some absurd name like 'baller' but that's not it). the bartender put out some chips and I ate one to go with my beer and the guy grabbed the plate of chips, threw it across the bar at the bartender, saying "no woman with me is going to get fat on chips". so the bartender had to boot him, I was scared to run across the street and go home, etc. it's not the bar's fault at all, and there are a lot of cool people there. but there are also a lot of really horrible people. way worse ratio than, say, at soda. it's unfortunate.
and yeah, it's also loud. my bedroom is in the back of my building but when friends/family sleep on my pull out sofa, they complain about the noise. -

If something is also sent to electeds it usually gets a reply. Perhaps also cc the letter to the community board representative.
And it wouldn't hurt if the "electeds" are up for, or gearing up for, re-election. Perhaps even a letter to Chris Owens wouldn't hurt. Not that he could do anything about it per se, but there is the potential of this becoming a campaign issue. -
Thanks for the info re: Ripple. I suspected Washington was still a little rough around the edges, this sort of confirms it. Too bad. Old school vs. new school, seems like we have alot of that right now.
Howdy, Stranger!
