77 precinct community council meeting tonight

I thought it was on St. Johns and Troy.

The precinct is on Utica between St. Marks and Bergen BUT the meeting tonight is actually at a nearby church, Beulah Baptist is the name I think. It's at 7 p.m. If you go to the precinct, you can see the big old church from there and can easily walk over.
If anyone else from St. Marks btwn Kingston and Albany attends, will you let the police know that we appreciate the increased patrols of the park on our street? I want to attend but am under the weather. Thanks! -
You know, it might be worth a phone call. According to the website it's at the precinct, but the last one was moved at the last minute to a nearby church. I called the precinct a few days ago and the Community Affairs desk put me on hold for a long time to find the information. I'll try calling...

You were right! It's being held at Beulah Church, 1250 St. Johns Place.

Is there any way that notice of precinct meetings could be posted ahead of time? It always seems that they get posted on the day of when my schedule is already pretty set. It's hard for me to make time to go on five hours notice.

they are always the second monday of the month. you can find the information by calling the precinct or looking up the 77th precinct online.

Maybe we could suggest to the precinct council to put flyers around. If they really want to get to the whole community. Anyway did anyone go to the meeting. I was unable to go. I would like to get an update.

here's the deal
the only place that i know of that the location is announced is in the precinct council newsletter which is only available at the meetings...
even when you call the precinct, chances are that the person answering the call doesn't have any clue as to location & time
so...
do they want to get the word out to the community...
your guess is as good as mine
the next one is easy
it is at the precinct
127 utica at 7:30
11/12/07
i do try to post them in advance here but unfortunately (or fortunately) i sometimes have a bit more on my mind
this last meeting was kind of a bust
seeing that everyone from the precinct left before the meeting was over
which kind of defeats the purpose
i urge everyone to get out and march on saturday: http://www.brooklynian.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=38152 and to attend the next meeting
the only way anything is going to change is if people show that they care
remember
one body = one vote
(yes i know we don't vote for nypd positions but there is always strong representation from elected officials at these meetings)
as far as posting a reminder for the next meeting -
the info is here,
it would be great if someone a little less brain dead than myself could repost it a couple of days in advance
