Never mind that a big band version of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" totally goes against the spirit of the song, which is about the boredom and angst of being a teenager. Paul Anka hasn't been a teen in a LONG time.

That was nifty. The opening riff was shamelessly borrowed from Led Zeppelin, but unlike Led Zeppelin, they hung onto the hemiola pattern till the end of the song.

i've shot a music video in the woods (not for the shins haha) but for a band i used to play in. it was awful. getting all our equipment out there and then entire film crew and all their gear. also it was the middle of the night and november. fun stuff! its on youtube but uh, yea not postin a link to that haha. :oops:

Night shoots suck. Particularly if they're cold.

Though one director I know shot a scene in his movie in such a way, you would have no idea it was shot in the middle of the night (though it wasn't in the woods, which I'm sure helped). His production designer stuck a tall white fence in the background and all the lights were focused on that. If you look at the film (which is in color), you would swear that it was high noon.

Here's something very different. I had no idea that John Adams' opera The Death of Klinghoffer was made into a movie. Here's an excerpt:
