Community Space Availability

does anyone know if there are spaces, rooms or areas that are available for support group meetings. i am looking for a space that is either free or very low sliding scale free. i am not preferential to the politics of the space (church, or affiliation etc.) i am just looking to start up a small group with weekly meetings etc. any information would be helpful. i am looking in and around the park slope area. thanks.

There are a couple options. First of all, did you think of the library? I think there may be a space there. Some churches are also a good choice- try Duryea on Underhill and Park. You might also want to see if Freddy's Backroom would be appropriate.

there is also that big room upstairs in the park slope food co-op if you are a member. although, this might only work if your meetings are open to the public.
