Can anyone confirm (or disconfirm) the existence of batting cages inside the Brooklyn Lyceum? I need to work on my swing before the season starts again.

yes there is a batting cage at the brooklyn lyceum.

it was present about 8 years ago before some longterm renovations began.

since the lyceum tends more towards theater than gym nowadays, the cage is usually open one weekend day and one weeknite.

dates are chosen about 10 days in advance based on theater schedule as we try not to make the operas and such suffer the sounds of the american pastime.

other than that you can contact the lyceum about hourly rentals.

p.s. we will be running the cage during some playoff games. GO SOX!
  • Isn't opera the american pastime?

Hopefully, Fidelio won't disturb the batters' concentration.
