Looking for a marriage/couples counselor

My bf and i are looking for a couples counselor.

I've tried some therapist "search engines" but they obviously don't tell you much.

Does anyone here have experience with couples counseling? At the risk of sounding desperate, we really need a lead.

Brooklyn would be great, but if you've been somewhere in Manhattan you'd recommend that would be helpful too. Feel free to PM me if you prefer.

thanks for pointing that out. judging from the lack of responses, i guess everyone in the slope is very well adjusted and a stellar communicator. this is depressing.

lol, if its not meant to be, don't beat a dead horse. if someone cheated just split up, plenty of fish and so forth. hopefully there are no children involved

Naw it ain't like that. Everyone has problems. Shit! Me and most of the people I know need a little help in one way or another. That's life.

i don't know brooklyn places, but you might try contacting the columbia school of social work (or another social work school in the area) and asking what CBOs (community based organizations) they work with in brooklyn and/or if they have any alums working in the area.

if you'd like me to ask my contact there (don't know if she'll know, but she does do certain types of couples counseling, so she might), PM me.
