Do you guys think a dessert place is needed?

wondering if there is an opinion out there on my quest to open a dessert place in Carroll Gardens /cobble hill. I am thinking it can can be both a meeting place and a great destination for fine chocolate and coffee. Any opinion will be appreciated.

Interesting. I'm not sure if you mean a place with waiters and a three-course dessert menu, or a more casual bakery-type place with seating and coffee.

I think the area could support a more casual place. To be honest, much would depend on the quality of the product. I think Court St. is already a bit saturated with established bakeries, but there doesn't seem to be much on Smith St. in Boerum Hill (unless you count the underwhelming One Girl cookie shop).

id like a place to get frozen yogurt, as i wont eat chemically-infested tasti d lite, and blue pig is a bit of a walk (and only 2 flavors)
