3 year old shot following Anti-Violence March
Well the Anti-Violence March went off without a hitch, unfortunately later on in the evening a 3 year old was shot right at the same location. I really hope the community gets together with Police and comes up with a plan of attack this stuff really sickens me. A neighborhood where even the smallest of children can't play is defenitely under siege!

Don't forget about the kid who got shot while he was on his bicycle at Bergen and Buffalo just a few days ago.
Wake up, people! She was 3 years old! -
Police Seeking Suspect After Child Is Grazed By Bullet In Brooklyn
October 14, 2007
Police are looking for whoever fired the shot that struck a three-year-old girl in the head in Brooklyn Saturday evening.
Police say the girl was visiting her grandmother when she was grazed in the head by a bullet just before 7 p.m. Saturday at the Kingsborough Plaza Housing Projects.
Family members say Jayla Taylor was playing with her brother and cousins when she was shot.
She was taken to a nearby hospital where the toddler's aunt says she has been treated with three staples in her head and is doing well. -
My question is, how can there not be witnesses to such a heinous event?
I attended the march and later in the day spoke with several people who live in my neighborhood that didn't attend because they were afraid of retributive action. As far as I can tell, the good always outnumber the criminals. We are under siege if we refuse to stand up.
And forget about the "snitching" thing. "Snitching" is what you do when you tell the teacher that someone got out of their seat while she was out of the room. What we're being asked to do is witness. -
I think it's pretty ridiculous that this type of thing is so common in Brooklyn that it barely made the news. Anyway heres a Pic of the suspect:Devon Baker of Brooklyn

Mod note: I added an image tag so folks don't have to follow the link to see the photo. -

Several outlets seem to have finally covered this (in all fairness to King, though, it looks like most of them didn't put anything online until today).

Subject: tot shot
The NY Post says that beautful little baby girl is a lucky lady. Is she.... if she can't play in front of Grandma's house safely???
Yes. Of course she's lucky to be alive and relatively unharmed.
But, really now.
What's the deal with that waste of a life randomly shooting and hitting whomever gets in the way.
I hope the "No Snitch" rule goes by the wayside for this one.
And if not, then doubly shame on those who did witness the shooting and won't cooperate, cause it may be their daughter or son or mother, wife or any other unwitting person who happens to be in the area of any idiot who thinks solving anything with a gun is the way to live their lives.
Howdy, Stranger!
