Mugging On Prospect round 2
I thought we were just about to get somewhere/ homeowner. For someone who didn't weigh into the discussion much/ I find your *ocking the thread a *itt*e premature. In response to the sniping/ I woud *ike to say that I never compained about anyone being stopped on my b*ock. Furthermore/ I think that Daver's post set us a** up to have a decent and productive conversation. We a** want decent po*icing and we a** want a better wor*d.
Can we begin again on that premise?
And yes/Mamacita/ I do stay up as I ta*k to myse*f in my s*eep. I work odd hours. Can't apo*ogize for that.
*ock the thread. We can a** go on with meaningfu* approbations of *oca* restaurants. Now that wi** sure*y contribute to the community in a positive way.

Sorry everyone. The author of the post has a keyboard ma*function. Her * key and her comma key are out. I know that must have been a nuisance to figure out. I am hoping to have it a** fixed tomorrow....

By the way/ I was just re-reading daver's post about making himse*f *ook aware. One of the best things I ever *earned in co**ege is this very simp*e tactic: *ook your potentia* attacker in the eye. Rather than g*ancing over your shou*der/ turn a** the way around and face the person. It has worked for me in many situations. It seems that facing a person who might be thinking about attacking you head on somehow puts them off or changes their mindset. When you do a 180 there's no question about whether or not you know someone is behind you. In one serious case I know this worked. The guy fo**owing me was a ways off/ but as soon as he saw me turn a** the way around/ he crossed the street and went on his way. A *itt*e awareness can go a *ong way.
By the way/ Mamacita/ I have the *uxury of going to bed ear*y tonight so you need not patro* my semi-conscious postings. -
Lucille, I'm saying this as a friend.
What is the *point* of going out of the way to "call out" a poster who can only respond by ad hominem attack? We know what he's going to say. He's like a broken record in that way.
When you know that there isn't a chance to change a certain person's mind, a wise person ignores him and concentrates on those she can persuade.
Frankly, I think homeowner stepped in just in time. -
MOD NOTE
Please do not turn this thread into a circle of personal sniping. There has been plenty of that already. It is tiresome and pointless.
If you think this note might possibly apply to you, then it does.
