this place is on 5th between 6th and 5th, i believe. yeah, simple-minded is not exactly the best wording, but i bet a lot of busy moms/professionals in the hood will find this place of use. who knows...i like to cook, so probably not my bag, but a great idea, nonetheless.

separate from the place across from the gate. not sure what that's going to be, but there was a lot of guys workin on it when i walked by...

What's this Trader Joe's advertisements backlash? How can any market surpass Trader Joe's, which is "popular among Americans who like to be entertained and educated by what they eat" ?

I just noticed there's lots of activity on this block, 5th Ave btw 5/6 Sts. Besides GetFreshNYC there are 3 store fronts being renovated. Anybody know what's going on at

1) the former Nail Shop next to Bar Reis
2) the former Carpet store
3) the former Skye Realty office

new on 5th avenue
