Subject: Bubbleworks UGH I've had it

I have a feeling this topic has been discussed already...

My grievance: Bubbleworks was SUPPOSED to bring the laundry back Wednesday pm, as scheduled.

But they NEVER call to say that it's NOT coming back, that it is coming back Thursday instead.

I waited all night and stayed up late just in case they were late (as they often are). There was no way to get in touch with them last night since it was after office hours. Was I supposed to intuit this somehow, that they changed their plan for the return of my stuff?

As well, they break my brand-new laundry bag.

My desire to speak to a manager brings me no result. Anyone know of any other laundry service who picks up and delivers? Or even have a favorite wash and fold (in Crown Heights). Feel free to send me to old threads (no pun intended)--

How can they charge so much and give such crappy service?

    the wash and fold laundry on Nostrand, between Dean and Pacific is good. I don't know if they do pick-up and delivery.

    I've had consistently great laundry experiences with Joe's Upscale. They charge $.90/lb plus $2 for delivery (and another $2 if you pay by credit card). 646-220-2220.

    The new place on Nostrand between St. John's and Sterling is pretty good. But you have to watch the scale because the guy will overcharge you (by about a dollar or so). His price list is merely a suggestion.

    But it's still pretty cheap even with the overcharging (if he felt he wasn't getting enough money, why doesn't he just raise his prices?) and the service is good. I think it's drop-off only though.
