Listen. The left turnstile at GAP (the big turning ones, not the actual turnstile) is very, very difficult to turn.

Be careful. Go right when you reach the top of the stairs. Take a different train. Do something. Anything. But avoid that trap. Because once you're in...
it's really hard to get out. I mean, really hard. And I'm really strong.

Good luck everyone.

  • did you let someone that works at the station know, i hope?

i go through that turnstile every day and never had a problem.
  • Was this one of the "iron maiden" style turnstiles?

  • Maybe I'm not as strong as I thought.

Or more likely, somebody complained and they adjusted the damn thing.
  • Thankfully, some MTA employee took the initiative and wrapped the whole thing in red-ribbon to block the entrance.

All that weight-lifting gone to naught.
  • I made the mistake of going through that turnstile with a large bag after work one night and started to get very nervous when I couldn't push through. I think what was more distressing was the guy behind me yelling at me to move it. It was busy and people were rushing from the subway and just kept going through the other one next to it. I went home totally upset over the fact that people just looked away or were annoyed because I was thought to be holding up the line. Glad they finally closed it for repairs. Imagine if I was alone and trapped!
