i was almost mugged yesterday evening around 9pm on eastern parkway and washington avenue by 6-8 15-17 yr. old punks with crutches. after they passed me, they tried to push my wallet out of my pocket but i caught it and quickly put it in my front pocket. they then surrounded me and started pushing me a bit. i kept walking and was luckily with three other people who were like "come on." they left.

i just want to take the opportunity to say how lame those guys are and if anyone sees 6-8 uneducated hoodlums on crutches with obviously no present life and definitely no future, steer clear!

Did you report this? If not I don't want to hear about it. Most of the folks on this board are all talk but when if comes down to making a report they feel like its going to take up too much of their time.

Well that'll make them easy to pick out. Due to the substandard educational system and irresponsible parenting, nyc is full uneducated hoodlums, but few on crutches.

my friends almost got mugged the other night on washington ave. but they pushed the kids off of them and started yelling. they filed and report with the police and the police said that a lot of teenagers had been mugging people coming from the 2/3 who were walking down washington ave. the police said 7-8 people had gotten mugged the night before them - but that night the police spoke of was halloween so i'm not sure if that's the reason for so many muggings. also, it was just after 8pm when the kids grabbed my friends -- who are not at all meek or wimpy looking, so watch your back.
