new cat on my fire escape needs home

*I'm posting this in the main directory in addition to the pets section for more visibility.

A new cat showed up on my fire escape, and i want her to find a home before it gets really cold. I'm not sure if its a female or male, but he or she is a bit shy, but is not feral because she's let me touch her and she jumped right through my window in my kitchen.

I'm willing to go half on the vets' checkup and shots with whoever is willing to adopt the cat.

Here are pictures, very cute tuxedo cat:

  • Subject: cute...

So, no one has come forward, have you posted a note w/ photo in your building or gone door to door? The same thing happened to me a few weeks ago... http://www.flickr.com/photos/rezist/1574454206/

The woman who lives upstairs came to our door in seconds.
  • Oh, i just put up the post a few minutes ago. I also posted it to craigslist and facebook, so im optimistic.

    thanks for the suggestions.
  • thats brilliant rezist. the people in her building probably be the most likely suspects.
  • Subject: kitty

I just couldn't rezist this one:
Is it possible it's a cat burglar?
  • It's that time of year, when the weather gets cold and poor lost kitties seek shelter. So sad.
  • i've taken the cat to the vet today, so she's all ready to be adopted considering she's had all her shots and has been treated for fleas, etc if anyone wants to give her a home (or knows of anyone.)
  • Hey gang....

Just in the interest of not having multiple discussions on the same topic, let's keep further discussion on this to the thread in the pets forum, right here:
