nyc marathon

hello! so we live on eastern parkway and this a.m. i noticed "no parking on sunday" signs - couldn't tell if they were old or not, since there were only a couple on one bloack - and no one ever takes them down after whatever event occurs.

anyway - i rang the 77th and they told me it was because of the mararthon. however, i looked online and no map i saw indicated that the route actually went down EP (including this one which is pretty good: http://www.nycmarathon.org/images/movies/map2005.swf)... anyone have any other info. is the marathon going down ep?

I lived in Fort Greene for 6 years and, as far as I've ever known, the marathon always stayed on the north side of Atlantic after crossing over Flatbush Ave from 4th Ave (Fort Greene, Clinton Hill, Bed Sty, Williamsburg, etc).

Could be something to do that is related to the marathon, but not the marathon itself...but no idea what it could be.
