New restaurant on 5th b/w 19th and 20th?

Does anyone know what kind of restaurant/bar this is going to be? They seem to be putting a lot of work into the place.

It so happens that the other day I asked a workman what that place was going to be, and he said "a middle European restaurant." Not entirely sure what that means, but I am certainly curious!

Middle European...that can mean a few different things; according to the almighty (Wikipedia), Middle Europe includes Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Liechtenstein, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Switzerland. But elsewhere in the five boroughs, many Serbian/Croatian/Bosnian places call themselves Central European. Hmm.

Wait, "Middle European?" I thought I heard Middle Eastern. :?

I agree, what the heck is "Middle European?" I had heard along the lines of some of the middle Eastern places in PS proper.

I SWEAR I heard Middle European, but it seemed a little odd to me too...hmmm. Middle Eastern would make more sense, certainly!

OK, I talked to them again...they confirmed that it is going to be a central European restaurant (he cited German and Czech food as examples), but that it would be non-traditional...more "updated and upscale," as he put it. Should be interesting!
