I would think any of the jewelry stores in the area, of which there are plenty, would change a watch battery.

there's a shoe repair/watch repair place right outside the train stop
next to brownstone billiards on the Flatbush side... you know.
right by the American Apparel store.
it'll set you back the cost of the battery plus 4 bucks or so...
they'll change it right there as you wait -
Tip Top on 5th ave between 8th and 9th,,, a hidden PS find.. Bring the watch.. they will sell you the battery and put it in for you. While there you can buy some Martial Arts equipment or a tee shirt that says..Brooklyn where only the strong survive.
