FIRE on 5th ave
Arson/Burglary fire on 5th ave between Douglas and the Key Foods.
The apartment/shop? that had all that religious memorabilia in the front window and foil covering the door and windows. It always was closed and the few times someone came out the inside was packed with crap (hoarder?). Same side of the street as Los Pollitos & Key Foods.
The fire reached the second floor and the building was smoked out. Looks like fire truck ladders pulled people out from the upper apartments.
The fire was out when I got there but I took some pics that I'm downloading now. While I was standing next to a police woman her walkie-talkie announced that it was an arson & burglary :?
Anyone on the boards live above the place?

Holy crap! That looks awful, I hope everyone got out ok. That's the problem with hoarders, all that stuff is just waiting for a spark. Nice pictures, Mama!

That's one way to get them out of there so that a bank or Starbucks or someone else that can pay a jacked-up rent.

i actually just saw on the news that some people came into the storefront and pourd some sort of flammable liquid on the floor and torched in, in front of the owner, and that there were some slurs. -

Wow - that's crazy. And it happened at 5 PM! Seems like there might be more to the story.
Howdy, Stranger!
