most annoying thing about the slope
gotta be the people. and it seems to be getting worse. must be the high cost of buying in to the nabe. folks feel like they're owed something.
crypto fascists dressed up like armchair liberals. don't let your dog pee on my railing. or the lamp post. don't chain your bike there. don't paint your house that color. don't walk your pig. don't roast your pig. don't do anything with any kind of pig. warm my baby bottle, or else i'm gonna throw a hissy fit. boo hoo, woe is me, i can't find any fair trade organic shade grown chicory dingles close to my house.
geez.
fer sure, PS is turning into the most annoying neighborhood in nyc.

I don't know about Park Slope...but I do find trite generalizations about people based on their zip code a little annoying. And not that amusing.

I'd rather live in the neighborhood you portrayed than around malicious and spiteful people like you.

I thought it was the parking.

I vote the transportation. The R train is horrible. -
I find it annoying that there is no Equinox gym in Park Slope. Does anyone here work out at the Brooklyn Heights branch?

No -- rabblerouser lives in McDonalds. Say "rabblerouser" out loud three times and you sound like the Hamburgler saying "Robble Robble."
Speaking of Mc Donalds, what I hate most about this damn, stinking neighborhood is the fact that I can't walk to 7th Avenue and Union Street and immediately order Vaule You Meal # 3 with a Quarter Pounder and one entire pound of golden, crispy, deep-fried Chicken Mc Nuggets. Having to take the F train all the way to West 4th Street to get a Whooper is SUCH A DRAG! And no Wendy's either? This neighborhood SUCKS! -
Isn't there still a McDonald's on 9th between 4th and 5th Avenues?
-

Dear god, I had no idea! To think I could have been eating 10 ounce Double Quarter Pounder with extra Cheese tonight instead of a bunch of organic crap I bought at a discount after working like a slave at the Food Co-op. -
there are TWO other mcdonald's: the one on 4th ave, across from staples. and the 24-hour drive through one on hamilton ave.
-
hey rabblerouser
If you don't like it here then stay the ef out. -
No Arby's.
-
or 7-11, so no slurpees.
and, on a more serious note, as steve and i have lamented, no jewish delis. no matzoh ball soup. -
Subject: no Burger King
there is no Burger King in Park Slope either. -
seriously, and they have onion rings.
-
In fact, I've never seen an Arby's in the city. WTF?
-
There's one in the Manhattan Mall - near Macy's. At least there used to be (haven't been in there in a long time)
I had a friend who used to crave Arby's.....plus, once again, my head is full of trivial information -
The Arby's has RETURNED to the Manhattan Mall! There was much rejoicing in my apartment.

This is valuable information. They are my favorite junk food monger.

I didn't realize they went away (JoanJettofArc).
Drano - go get yourself some roast beef sammies or something! -
Arby's?! Wooo!!! I'm as excited about the potato cakes as I am about the roast beast sandwiches!!!
-
there used to be a burger king on 10st and 5 ave but the mcdonalds
on ninth put them out of business. -
let's see . . . no GAP!

Once upon a time, I really used to like BK burgers... and then I moved here. I don't know what it is, but the franchises here seem to serve up some crappy Whoppers and double cheeseburgers...

wow, you can distinguish a crappy whopper? just the thought of that smell is nauseating, the flame broiled grease smell that they vent onto the street to attract people. the only thing i ever eat at fast food is fries, and only out of desperation, like when i'm travelling on 95 and there's no other food for miles. but i just feel queasy afterwards. i always feel like the fries have sugar in them or something, they have a bad effect on me.
Arby's commercials just make me want to puke, those 'roast beef' (probably pressed meat made out of about 5000 cows) sandwiches oozing with some kind of weird sauce...i'd say less fast food is a huge plus about park slope.
it's a public forum--just my 2 cents!

That's fine - I'll eat your share!

Double wide baby strollers.
