Body Reserve on 5th Union? — Brooklynian

Body Reserve on 5th Union?

edited November -1 in Park Slope
We are moving from Astoria to Park Slope this Saturday (finally!!!) and am on the hunt for a new gym. We're right on the corner of 5th & Lincoln, and Body Reserve is only 2 blocks away.

My gym in Astoria was $83 monthly, and BR is only $59. However, it was 24hr, had beautiful brand new equipment with tvs on each machine, etc etc. My guess is that Crunch is going to be a better choice, quality wise, but I dont know anything about Body Reserve.

Anyone go and have any yays or nays?

  • Amy, you should do a search on here about Body Reserve, there have been lots of threads about it in the past...

But overall I'd say it's nothing fancy (there are no tvs) but it's clean, the people are very nice and it's never too crowded. And the few classes they do have are good. It's a very good bargain choice.
  • It really depends what your looking for. I go to Body Reserve and absolutely love it. However, if you are looking for tvs and all that kind of stuff, you probably wouldn't like BR. It is a very basic gym. I love it for that very reason. The people there are not pretentious. Everyone is laid-back and is simply there to work out. The staff are friendly and know everone by name. Also, I have never once had to wait for a piece of equipment. Obviously, I love BR, but it just depends what you are looking for. Hope this helps.
