Anyone know if the bargains r us store on Fulton off of Grand is closing early next year? There was rumor that Union Markets was putting a store in the location . It was on one of the other blogs but cant remember which one.

While it is the one dollar store I do go to for odds and ends on fulton Street, it would be phenomenal if the Union Market Rumor is true. They would be mobbed with business and it would be a enormously tranformative spark for Fulton Street in Clinton Hill.

That said, I hadn't heard that it was closing or that Union Market was moving in...

I think that was mentioned on Brownstoners site last week in the thread about the greengrape store opening in ft greene. it was in the comments section .someone said the manager at union market on union and 6th said he was opening at that location in clinton hill. totally psyched if that happens.

Bargains 'R Us is pretty solid, as dollar stores go. But a Union Market there would be awesome. I hope it's true.

I realize now I have said pretty much exactly what everyone else said on this thread so far.

Sad to see it go...but happy at what might be coming!!!!!!!!
