NYSC and other PS gyms???

I just got the whole "used car sales pitch" membership bollucks read to me at the NYSC on 9th! All I wanted to know was their monthly rate! Needless to say, I won't be going there!

So are there any decent no-thrills no-bullshit no-gym-rat gyms in PS where I can use an elliptical/bike/treadmill machine etc and lift some weights without all the fluff?

We use the Y on 9th they give lots of ways to get a 20% discount and we pay less for a family there than we did for 1 of us at NYSC.

have you considered the Body Reserve on 5th and Union? No frills, gym rats, etc as seen at any other gym. I love it there for exactly that reason. There are no tvs or other high-end perks, but the people there are serious and are truly there to just work out. I have never been to such a down-to-earth gym before. I love the feeling of ease I get as I work out without anyone staring or judging me. I just can't say enough about this place for the simple, down-to-earth environment. Also I have never had to wait for a single piece of equipment. Obviously, I love this gym. Enough said
