hostess gift

There's a liquor store on 7th Ave between 8th and 9th where you could get a bottle of wine. Or you could get coffee or tea at Java Joe's (on 8th a little up from 7th Ave). The only other place I can think of is Lion in the Sun, on 7th and 4th, if you want to get her stationery.

I think if you need to get a Hostess gift, go with the twinkies. Or the chocolate cupcakes. Don't get the Snoballs or Suzie-Qs, they're vulgar.

Zuzu's Petals carries a line of French soap (and lotions) that are amazing. A bar of soap is $9... but it is hard milled , will last for months and the choice of scents is amazing. My favorite it lilac...They make wonderful litle gifts.

The first time I bought a $9 soap my husband was like... you must be kidding.. but he is hooked and it is the only soap we buy now.
