Does anyone know of a walk-in medical clinic in the hood? One where they can take care of possible strep throat? thanks.

Michael Raffinan takes walk-ins, and, as seen on that thread, is just generally awesome.

Park Slope Medical Associates.. corner of 5th ave and 7th street.

    Internist Dr. Dinn
But some very decent specialists associated with the practice as well.

If that's the office I think it is, I wouldn't go there - Dr. Gabinsky, who's associated with that office, was my doctor for four or five years and he's one of the worst doctors I've ever had. When I went there, the office was disorganized and the doctors were fairly incompetent.

Yes..same office. Was gabinsky the pediatrician? My grandson had an emergency appointment (for the croup) even though Gabinsky is not his regular pediatrician and he guy handled the situation well but I can't recommend him just based on that.
I have known Dr Dinn(whose place it is) for 25 years and he is an internist. He is an excellent diagnostician and I can stand behind recommending him.

The office is disorganized and not an appealing space to hang out in. Don't look for nice oriental carpets and pictures on the wall.

Yes, Gabinsky's the pediatrician, though I personally wouldn't let him near my dog, let alone a child. I don't know Dinn personally, but my whole experience with the office staff was bad (they were rude, disorganized, lost medical record requests, etc.), besides the fact that Gabinsky is just generally a horrible doctor with no people skills.
