CHEAP STORAGE?!
I have recently been given some cool *FREE* furniture that doesn't quite fit in the closet I am currently living. I was hoping to put it in storage for the 6 months - 1 year until I move out. Can anyone recommend a good, safe, CHEAP self-storage somewhere around Union and 5th Ave...give or take.

I just had my stuff in storage at the UHaul on 4th ave and 6th. There's another storage place on 3rd ave and 11th or something. Anyway, apart from generally no customer service to speak of, I had no real problems with UHaul.
Note: There are cheaper units that require a scary elevator ride and then lifting your stuff up like 8 stairs. You can check their website to see what's available and how much it is.
