  • Someone in my office sent this around. I think it looks interesting, check the link if you have time. Seems kind of Cirque du Soliel to me. Plus, it's pretty cheap ($20 I think).

    Let me invite you to experience the kooky yet literate shenanigans of 500 Clown at PS 122. Long time physical theater practitioners residing in Chicago, 500 Clown take their cues but Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin, Sam Beckett, and anything else lying around the shop floor. It is raucous and spontaneous, sort of like a structured, long-form "improv" (a fine Chicago export) but with better costumes and a story to tell. They are good friends of mine from back in the day, and I hope to introduce more New Yorkers to their entertaining mix of circus, theater, improv, etc. So think about going if you can use a distraction from the holiday madness.

    Frankenstein runs through this Wednesday and then their Christmas show starting next Friday (12/21).
