luxury hand and/or dish soap?

without revealing too much (because lots of my friends read this board!) I'm looking to buy some luxury hand and/or dish soap with a nice towel as an xmas gift. I was in soho for a bit today wandering aimlessly and no one had anything specific to "general use" soap (meaning non body-wash.) I know it exists- where can I find this type of thing!? This weekend?!

I'm such a procrastinator haha

i've found some great stuff at living on 7th/living on 5th.

i love my handsoap...it's tobacco flavored. brand is claus porto, i believe.

it was expensive, but it's lasted me a year.

about to go get some more tomorrow in fact!

i do that already, flexichick...

this is a much sweeter smell, however.

not like a stayed up all night drinking beer, come home and peel the clothes off, reek of tobacco kinda smell.

although that is a good one...

Williams-Sonoma has some lovely liquid soaps for purchase, as well as the dish towel!

Mrs. Meyer's is great stuff, hand soap and dish soap and whatnot. You'd have to put together your own gift basket tho...
That *natural* place on Flatbush just up from 6th Ave, PH side of the street sells it.

Target probably sells it too, but who wants to go there the weekend before xmas (shudder)

i second pitu's recommendation of mrs. meyers; it's actually the same product and company as caldrea, just the lower priced line.

i know they sell it lots of places, but pretty sure it's also at king's pharmacy on flatbush. (the one in bburg has a huge selection, so i'm making an assumption here)

and the stuff is very affordable.

Caldrea is a wonderful product line...some of the scents of this stuff are just wonderful..hint,, Fragrance 15 is a winner. I use the stuff sparingly because it is so expensive but getting it or giving it is a pleasure.. I did check out Mrs. Meyer.. and that is about half the price. I didnt know they were connected in any way. thanks for the info!!
