Unfortunately, I need to ask if anyone has any advice on funeral services in the neighborhood. We just need a cremation, nothing else. Any help would be much appreciated.

I don't know if this is going to help you, but here's a google map showing several funeral homes with their phone numbers in our area:

  • Isnt there a funeral place on Vanderbuilt?
  • Sorry to hear about your loss...

Sort of off topic, but does anyone here remember "A FUNERAL CONCEPT CENTER" on Flatbush? I think the "concept" was saving money by bringing your own casket. Anyway, now it's a cell phone store.

    Seriously?!?!
  • oh yeah. They got written up by one of the local papers -- maybe Daily News?

Did you guys see six feet under sunday when they bury the guy in a canvas bag thing?
  • I've never heard of that store, but you can buy caskets at a Costco upstate. My dad was like "*shrug*" but I think that's kinda sick.

I hear that if you order three deluxe pizzas at Chucky Cheese, you get a free take-home cardboard casket.
  • buying caskets at a retail store is a pretty sensitive subject for funeral home directors- in most states, there are still laws preventing people from buying caskets from anyone other than a licensed funeral director... gotta keep the margins hugely padded, don't ya know?!

    AUUUGH!!!!!

I was gonna watch it tonight! :x

Oh well, it's not like I didn't already guess they were going to do that.

I'll be crying when that show is forever gone.

I was careful not to say who was buried, oh well, sorry.
  • Cranford's on Dekalb Ave (Adelphi and Carlton).
    ALso, try Greenwood Cemetary
I am sorry for your loss
  • Definately the saddest SFU episode ever, although the one with David getting carjacked was the most disturbing. Can't believe there are only 2 more episodes.
