FG/CH/BK Nightlife?
My younger cousins are coming to visit in a few weeks and hang out from the far far land of UES-college/postcollege-party-land in Manhattan. It's been a while since I've been in my 20's  so I'm wondering if there's anyone out there who can offer some nightlife options to appease these avid partygoers, beyond the neighborhood spots around here.
I'm not necessarily looking for places in the neighborhood, just an area that wouldn't be more than a short cab/subway/bus ride away with a few lively bars/nighclubs around. I've been living here for a few years now, but I'm not one for the bar scene, so I haven't really noticed or picked up on any hotspots.

well there are some pretty swell bars in the area. but if you're lookin to take them to a place "where the action is" (as realtors so appealingly put it), 5th and 7th Aves in Park Slope are a quick bus ride away. Same with Bedford Ave in Williamsburg.

You could always take them down to the corner of Flushing Avenue and Washington in order to start their evening off at the Navy Yard Lounge.
After having a few "boilermakers" with the regulars they could head next door to Reign Nightclub for some serious booty shaking. Then depending on how their evening/late night is going they could end their festivities at The Chocolate Bar around the corner on Waverly.

if they're hipsters with a taste for rock then they better visit Manhattan's LES.

I've been to the Navy Yard lounge a couple of times. If they want an eye-opening Brooklyn experience, proceed!

so someone spill the beans on the navy yard lounge experience...

When I went, there was about twenty guys in there- half old and half young. Pretty low key- but they had two women in lingerie giving lap dances. I got a $10 number, but it was given on my barstool next to a bunch of men watching sports on TV. Awkward!
