daughter and I are flying out on Monday morning-

For a 10am flight with checked baggage, what time should we get to LaGuardia airport?

What time should I request for the car service to pick us up?
My instinct usually gets me to airports way early but for the 24th, I don't know. I missed a flight out of Newark several years ago even though we left brooklyn 3+ hours before the flight.

Please, wise travelers, help me out.

See if you can check in online. This way all you do is turn in your baggage to the guy on the sidewalk instead of waiting on the ticket line.

Otherwise, if you gotta check bags and check in, I would advise getting there at 7-7:30 for a 10am flight to be safe.. you never know how long that line might take.

No matter what, and especially on a holiday ... and since the weather in NY will be unusually warm and probably foggy after today's wetness ... be inside LGA at least 2 1/2 HOURS prior to takeoff time. Too bad you have to check bags - wear easy to get off shoes ... you know the drill. And bring some easy to carry and not smelly snack to eat BEFORE TSA xray check-in.
Too bad you're at LGA. But make the best of it.
So you'll have to be at LGA at 7:30am. And that's good, since there's really no traffic then.
Plan your car service to get you to LGA at approx. 7:30a.
