Lots of Pedestrian Troubles — Brooklynian

Lots of Pedestrian Troubles

Considering the spate of fatal pedestrian accidents around Sunset Park in the last week, it might be a good time to write to the Mayor's office about getting some traffic calming measures in trouble spots. I've written in about the streets surrounding the actual park, and while it hasn't yielded results, it is on record and it did generate a "report" that found there was no speeding.

Frustrating, yes. However, at least it's part of a growing pile of complaints.

  • Jan 10 is for congestion issues in Windsor Terrace and South Park Slope. Your issue is VERY VALID and should goto CB7. Contact Jeremy Laufer, Dist. Mgr, at 718.854.0003 and/or attend the next CB7 Board meeting, third Wednesday in Jan (every month, except July/August) or ask Jeremy when the next Transportation Committee meeting.

I guess I'll see Hamilton on Jan 10...just for other reasons.

Actually, heck, show at that one and ask to speak to Jeremy or Fred Xuereb who heads up the Transportation Committee.

    :)
