As seen here: http://www.bedstuyblog.com/2007/12/27/rustik-tavern-opens-on-new-years-eve/

ha! you're too harsh on our hood.

  • looks pretty cool. just might haveta check it out this weekend.
  • read about it here and went there on saturday and sunday. was closed both days :(

also their website....while good in design lacks content and takes ages to load in flash. looks like someone went overboard in flash !!

ugh. flash websites. the bane of my internet existence.

why web designers!? why!? I know its pretty but give us a break.
  • Sometimes flash can genuinely add something, and improve a site's ability to convey information in a menaingful way. A great example of really nice flash use:

Thought we'd try it for lunch/brunch. The web site said they'd be open at 11:00 am but even at noon the gates were down and padlocked. Are they having some problems? Anyone know?

We drove by at 1, same thing. This is the second weekend in a row.

Even Tamboril on Myrtle was closed today.

What's going on with these brunch places. Dont they want to run businesses and make money >
  • The owner of Rustik, Frantz Metellus, has been kind enough to post updates on the opening here (Comments #20 and #25):

  • I notice that about places in the neighborhood. They like to make their own hours. Weekend breakfast is hard for us as we get up early no place is open! I agree....if these places want to stay in business, they have to try alittle harder.
  • Thanks, Changeling for the post to the Bed-Stuy blog. Seems that inspections and so on are the problem. We hope they'll be open soon.
  • Any word on the status yet?
  • I take a peek almost every day, hoping this place is open.
