John Singleton directing The A Team movie

And he wants Woody Harrelson to play Murdock. I think that's an awesome choice!

  • I think it would be a more awesome choice not to do any more remake of tv shows. Aren't there any original ideas any more?

I dunno...the Starsky and Hutch remake film was surprisingly fun.

There's really no reason Mr. T wouldn't still be good, but if that's not doable I'd like to see "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in the role.

    Mr T, as Mr T!
  • oh.

    my.

    god.

    the f***ing A-Team??? Who doesn't love the A-Team????

As long as they include a scene in which they make some sort of vehicle to stop the evil dudes, like in the series, I'm soooo down.

i'm starting to see that we have the same respect/love for 80's crap. That's both good (in that we can see there are others like us) and bad (in that there are others like us). :)

Sadly, it's no longer a question of which writers have the best ideas. It's a case of what's the best re-make/overpaid actor/million dollar CGI combination to bring in the most money.

Expect more of the same crap for at least the next decade. Maybe by then people will get bored with the same old shit.

damn dude, sometimes people like to just watch entertaining movies that aren't about love and art and crap that makes you think too much. Movies are an "escape" anyway, so what's wrong with shit like the A-Team?

and i'm telling B.A. that you're hatin,' so watch your back.

Yeah, because a hail of bullets might land around you, and then something might explode right next to you, sending you flying through the air unharmed away from it.

    exactly.

Because remakes are usually crap and just show a lack of imagination on behalf of screenwriters. Mind you, they're all on strike now. Hope a few months of poverty gives them a few decent ideas
  • by the way, i just read where the actor who played "the faceman" beat cancer on his own by going to the islands and taking a macrobiotic diet. if that's not badass a-team style, well....
  • You mean Dirk Benedict?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dirk_Benedict

Benedict was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 1974. The medical doctors recommended surgery, but he claimed to have cured his cancer through a macrobiotic diet recommended by Gloria Swanson, exercise and fasting, over a period of 3 years under the guidance of Michio Kushi according to his book Confessions Of A Kamikaze Cowboy. He continues the diet to this day.

I dunno, man. Taking medical advice from Gloria Swanson seems a little dicey.
  • still, it beats any "chuck norris fact," and what if it's true!?
  • If that's true, well...then Huckabee better start making calls now, to line up this other 80s has-been before McCain (also a Vietnam vet) nabs him.

And somehow I can totally see Philip Seymour Hoffmann playing Col. John "Hannibal" Smith.

definetly true. Face was always my favorite - the smooth talking con man of the group.

and Norris is a punk compared to Steven Seagal. Seagal is the f'ing man.
