Little Miss Muffin moves to Washington Ave — Brooklynian

Little Miss Muffin moves to Washington Ave

Word on the street is that Little Miss Muffin 'n Her Stuffin is moving from their long-held location on Park Place and Flatbush Ave, to Washington Ave between Park and Sterling. Little Miss Muffin is one of several spaces on that corner of Flatbush and Park facing rent hikes and being forced to close.

Get ready for Flatbush Ave.'s brave new world. A middle-class strip of the high-trafficked corridor in Prospect Heights has become some of Brooklyn's hottest retail real-estate -- spelling painful changes for longtime merchants who say they'll have to move.
They will soon be occupying the perpetually-empty retail space at 768 Washington. I do not know when they hope to open, but I'd like to welcome the business to Washington, and also hope/pray that they won't be bringing their old sign to their new location. You guys know what I'm talking about.

    Thanks ghost!

    768 WashingtonSign at present location:
  • My pleasure! It will be flanked by Kimchi Grill on one side, and No. 1 Chinese Kitchen on the other.
  • Open for business as of this morning! I haven't gone it yet but it sure smells delicious.

The owner was present, yet did not want to be photographed. She had been setting up her store all day.
  • This is exciting. I will definitely be stopping in here soon.

  • Guys, we spoke too soon. New sign (featuring a frightening Little Miss Muffin) has appeared above the store front. It looks a little updated, but remains a tad daunting.

I'm not the only one who feels this way right??

Regardless, I look forward to trying one of their baked goods.
  • Honestly that sign just faded into the background when it was on Park Place. But confronted with it close up... that is frankly a little disconcerting. Bonus Karma points to the first one to make this their avatar:
