Anyone know the status of laundromat at Bedford and Union?

I called the number they have posted today and I was told that it will be open within the next 30 days.

There finally seems to be some action on this place. I met the NEW owner and he plans to open the place as soon as he fixes it up. I am guessing it will be open in a month or two.

I'm not sure I would make all of it a laundry. I might make half of it a food place or a convenience store.
The folks at the MTA facility and those who renovate the armory might get lunch from my food place. -
I remember looking at an apartment around the corner from here about two and half years ago. We were told that this laundromat would be opening in the next "few weeks". A bit optimistic by the realtor haha..

For anyone in the neighborhood willing to pay for laundry pick-up/drop-off service I'd recommend Waverly Wu's. I started using them earlier this year after years of doing my laundry on my own. It works out to around a dollar a pound. A little more pricey than doing it yourself, but also a lot more convenient.

Plumbers are on site today, running pipe for the equipment.
Washers and dryers already on site. -
This article is about why laundries are disappearing from Manhattan, but it makes me wonder if laundry's are equally unprofitable in "our" part of Brooklyn, because we now share too many things in common with Manhattan:It could explain why this laundry is taking so long to open. ...there just isn't much incentive. The services @mcpoet discusses are quite popular.

Omg, the Coming Soon sign that has been up for more than a year has been taken down.
Soon seems to be actually arriving. Unlike Tomorrow, it may not always be a day away!

I did see machines inside when I passed by the building last week.
-
They have also paved the parking lot.

Wasn't sure which thread to update, but I received a grand opening flyer for this place in the mail yesterday. Unfortunately, it didn't list an actual opening date.
-
Anyone know whether this place is open yet? I can't recall the name on the flyer and don't have the number to call.
-
It's open, I saw folks there doing laundry on Sunday.
-
I believe I saw a sign that said it'll be open 24 hours and a discount will be given for those who come in to do laundry during the overnight hours.
